I have been a scientist, manager, and consultant in the biopharma and medical device industries. I received a Ph.D. degree in Experimental Pathology from the UCLA School of Medicine. Following that I worked in research from the bench level to the clinic at places such as UCLA, the Scripps Research Institute, Stanford, Calydon, Inc., and Asthmatx, Inc. The therapeutic areas I focus on are oncology, virology, respiratory diseases, and neurology. Much of my consulting work is analysis and communications (peer reviewed publications; clinical study reports and other clinical research documentation, technology assessment, data and information management, and literature review and analysis). Interests I track include personal genomics (aka – DTC genomics, gene patenting, and cancer biology).
